Reading Wheel Book 3

Humor

Lately I have been reading Diary of A Wimpy Kid DOUBLE DOWN written by Jeff Kinney. This book was very humorous.

Jeff Kinney made this book funny by thinking about what things would embarrass a child. In this book Jeff Kinney has a lot of things in this book that embarrasses a child. And Greg the main character has been through a lot of embarrassing things in the book. I feel bad for Greg!!

The most humorous part was when Greg went to a party he was invited to... But his Mum purposely came in to the party without Greg noticing but I think Greg was very embarrassed at the start seeing his Mum saying hello to his friends.

But Greg's Mum really made herself popular at the party!!

I think this was a very good and clever book.

Reading Wheel Book 2

The Classics

I have been reading The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. This is a classic book as well as being a fantasy book and is very adventurous. I loved how this book has magic, imaginary characters and a lot of nail biting action and a little bit of humor.

This book was first published in 1950. The author of this book is called C. S. Lewis. He was born on the 29 November 1898 in Belfast Northern Ireland's capital and died on the 22 of November 1963.

He went to Oxford University with his good friend J.R.R Tolkien who was the author of the Lord of the Rings novel.

Reading Wheel Book 1

I have read my first book for my Reading Wheel. The book is a horror book. The title is Darkmouth. The scariest part was when the main character Finn was being strangled in the water underneath a wharf. What made this creepy and very scary is that Finn's Dads oldest friend Mr Glad was the person strangling Finn. Seeing that Mr Glad was the one strangling him made it very difficult to read towards the last 30 pages!!
